It is actually called a "kurta" or with pants "shalwar kameez"; this is what is worn in S/E Asia and India. "Thobe" is whats worn in the gulf Arab states. "Dishdasha" is primarily Moroccan, N.African. Hope this helps with your bash ideas. Ive found that dragon WWII German tunics are a good starter pattern; kurta should go down just past the knee in 1:1; pants should be just above the ankle
