See subject.

More or less, the site appears to be stabilized with some priority issues addressed.

What site issues are still outstanding and are they being actively communicated to upper management by us members?

The gallery still seems to be askew.
There doesn't appear to be a way to view all of my pictures. I set up an album, but the only way to put all 203 of my images into it is one at a time (which I just started doing).
Looking at "my profile" only let's me see "My Most Recent Images", which only shows me 4 pictures. Tried the search with "joebros", but only shows pictures tagged "joebros", not "uploaded by joebros."
When I click to view a picture, there are others at the bottom of the page, so I've been going one by one and tagging/adding them for future reference.

Not an impossible task, I just wish there was a better way. :dizzy

Let's first say a lot of work has been done well but stll the Search function reports are nowhere accurate or effective! In fact they are almost useless so I go directly on google and use the {site:} function and get more coherent hits on what I'm looking for.
With the wealth of information you can find on the forum I deem essential the search function to be rich and accurate...

Quite a lot of the issues have benn addressed for sure :thumb :thanks

the one that is left and buggs me the most is the fact that for some small pictures posted by members, you click on them and they appear flat. You have to click again to see a full picture.

Over than that, pretty much everything seems fine now.

Regarding the size of the text, I'm getting used to it.

Search function doesn't work as mentioned before. There are still problems with picture display.

The biggest single thing that bothers me is the colors used on the forum. I would be so happy if it just used the same colors it used previously. These colors are horrible and make things hard to read.

I don't know how useful the search function would be even if it was working properly but I believe that the Google method of searching may be far superior even if the default search did work properly. I've been using the Google method a lot lately on this and other forums with great results and it's definitely more useful than the search function that we had with the prior version of the forum software. With Google. there is no word length requirement and you can easily exclude terms from searches. The best part is that it can be used to search for images in the forum as well. I posted the Google workaround for the search function awhile back but for anyone that didn't see it, you may find this thread helpful: A Google search tip to augment the improperly working search function here

Vbulletin search is fine if setup properly but google can help you narrow down results. Just to add to what you had suggested, also use the quote modifier to narrow down your searches further, ie "soldier story" multicam site:eek:nesixthwarriors.com. Also works great with various email providers, ebay, etc.

I do a lot of Google searching for sometimes very hard to find information and with specific commands, such as what you mentioned, searches can be very precise. More often than not, I can find the information that I'm looking for if it's to be found on the internet. Until recently, I wasn't aware of the usefulness of the "site:" function, but since learning to properly use it, it has become my go-to tool when looking for hard to find information or images. It can even be used with non-English websites for us English only speakers, when used in conjunction with Google Translate or another online translator. For example, doing a Google search for "苏联 site:bbs.bbicn.com" will return results from the Chinese BBICN forum for threads that contain the Chinese word for "Soviet". Often times though, it's not even necessary to use translated terms to search those sites and forums, because even though the Chinese alphabet uses different characters than most of us are familiar with, the users will still type terms such as "OMON" or "AK-47" using the Roman alphabet that the majority of us are familiar with.

I sent in a report of a member having problems getting/staying on, as well as the link to this thread.

This AM, Norm sent an email saying he has rebuilt the search index. He believes the issues described in this thread, re: search, are addressed.
