Great figure! Really like the detailing and the painted hands.
One thing though, and it's just being picky, but if he was a Luftwaffe para, he'd probably have a different style cufftitle, and at least this particular one should be on the right sleeve. Check here for the Luftwaffe cuff: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/uniforms_firearms/uniforms/luft_cufftitles/Afrika.html, or you can do a late war and maybe just replace it with the 'Kreta' title and add the brown 'Afrika' title which only reached some Luftwaffe units in 1943 (see here for examples of both of them together: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/campaign_awards/cufftitles/kreta.htm).
Although the IAB could be worn, it could be exchanged for the Luftwaffe GAB, so both would be correct. However, he'd probably have the Paratrooper badge after completing jump training. Monkey Depot has one here: http://www.monkeydepot.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7943
Again, great figure, and I'm really jealous that you found the DID MP40 bags...
