Anyone bought F14 made by these folks? Out of all the diecast F14s out there in 1/72 scale, these seem to be the best in terms of quality and price.

For those of you who bought it, does the front landing gear go down lower (as if on a cat shot)?

Yes, I have two of these in my diecast collection. These are very expensive but overall worth it as these are the most accurate models to be rendered in diecast. The front landing gear is "static" (non poseable) for all the models.

Thank you for the reply, AV8TORJoe.

One more question: which parts are movable (if any)? Any other unique characteristics about this item would be greatly appreciated. I sent an email to the maker, but possibly due to a volume of email or language barrier, I haven't heard back. Thanks again.

Hi Tom, the only moving parts on the Tomcat are the "Swing wings". Here's a site with more detailed photos: http://www.diecastace.com/review_cw_JRf14203.html

You say expensive, how expensive? Where can we order these? I see nothing for ordering on that site.
You can get it here: http://www.flyingmule.com/ Look under "Century Wings"

Century Wings is becoming very popular. A few of their latest models are selling out before they reach the shelves.

Their latest aircraft is the Century Wings A-7E CORSAIR II U.S.NAVY VA-82 MARAUDERS AJ300 1978 (1:72) Pre Order

Someone was asking about lowering the landing gear. Here is a pic of Century Wings F-14A Tomcat USN VF-84 Jolly Rogers, AJ203, USS Nimitz, 1978, Launch Configuration (1:72). As the description says this model is fixed in a launch position. This is an earlier model but there are still some of these around.

Thanks
Ronnie
