It was his way of life. And for those who got in his way or didn't agree, it was even tough. Beneath his rugged exterior burned a fire, kindled by pain and fed by hate, ready to flare at the slightest provocation. Life is rough, but the alternatives are rougher. Especially if you meet up with Edge.
The Edge series of books by George G. Gilman at the time claimed to be the most violent western in print. I always enjoyed reading them especially during social studies in high school and have thought of doing a bash of him for a couple years. When I got the DML Frank in a trade I decided he would be a good start.
headscupt DML Frank: hair modified w/Fimo
body DID w/ DML hands
jacket DID Otto Bittman redyed
shirt DID Tim Becker bleached
boots GI Joe
I made the pants and belts.
Excellent job on him Jimmy.Man ,I haven't read those books in years. If I ever get any time and can find what I need I had thought of doing a Custis"Longarm" Long bas from the series of books by Tabor Evans. My Dad and I both used to read them.
Always nice to see more of your great western work, Hondo!
You did a great job reworking that hair!
Whenever I see a western figure, it always reminds me of when I played with my Lone Ranger, Tonto and Butch Cavendish figures as a kid. I used to love those!
LOL Jimmy ,Longarm was one of mine and my Dad's favorite series to read.I pretty much quit reading them after he passed away.Been almost 13 years now.I really haven't seen a headsculpt that resembles Custis yet either ,I'll let you know if I ever find one.I may have to pick up a couple of the books to read .
