You know, I wish British weapons would get this amount of attention from manufacturers. That's basically an FN MAG with US mods attached to it. If the manufacturers had the gumption they could easily produce an L7 GPMG.

WOW! That is super cool.

Now that they have the basic mold/pattern for the weapon, I would be surprised if they did not do a few variants of it. In the end E&S probably knows what sells best for them and manufacture products accordingly.

They should have parts to create both weapons in one kit...these do run $40/each so more parts would make that price easier to swallow I think.

This is a good looking weapon, I'm wondering how the light model is standing up in the field? There were some been there/done that stories not too long ago, here aboard.
I am guessing the Commonwealth forces are still humping the full GPMG, and it was indeed ahead of the M240. As I recall, the US Army started issuing a buttstock, allowing 240s mounted on Abrams to be used in an expedient dismounted role, by crew members. The Marines accepted the 240 first, as a dedicated ground weapon, followed later by the Army, if I recall correctly.

With the DML GPMG "sort of" around still, albeit in limited amounts and requiring legwork, E&S should consider putting one out. In all cases, E&S has a rep for good products with strong details. Supplying a 100 round linked belt (of course, raising the price) would be a good consideration.

Very cool. More of a U.S. issue version than the one that has just been released with the Z.E.R.T. Juggernaut Sully figure. An ammo pouch/can would have been a nice add.

I like the look of this version a bit better than the Z.E.R.T. version. But the Z.E.R.T. version has the silencer and MICO ammo pack. I just want one for my 75th Ranger gunner.

What I initially heard about the gun was that a lot of the parts had been replaced by titanium bits to save weight, and better machining and alloying processes. But lighter weight also means more wear and tear on lighter weight moving parts, so I would love to hear how they are holding in the field as well.

I would love to see a British GPMG version as well, and with slight tooling mods, it could be a reality in the future. Although E&S is cashing in on the newer versions, and whiz bang, geardo models of newer weapons, so I wouldn't put to much money on a bet.

Very nice looking weapon and I wouldn't mind adding it as an upgrade to one of my gunners. Just one small nit. Maybe I missed it, but I don't see anything on the front end of the weapon to attach a sling to. I hope they fix that before going into production.

Good catch. It could go with a rail mounted sling attachment, or some type of sling attachment at the vehicle mount point. But they should add something for a sling. Or we can rob one from another kit if there is one for a rail mount. For the E&S price point, I hope they add one.

At this point, it looks like this is probably the release version of this set. The time from teaser to release is pretty short for E&S, so I think this is what we are going to get, sans sling mount and sling. Kind of a must have for a MG or SAW.

It is a nice piece. There's a few minor gripes that I have about it, like the metal ammo links falling out of the receiver and I wish the heatshield was a little tighter. Other than that is really does look cool. Excellent work by E&S.
