Hi guys, I wanted to share a quick and easy way to make a silver bangle.

Things you'll need:

  • Thin metal/aluminium sheet
  • X-acto knife/hobby knife
  • Sand paper (Fine Grit)

So let's get started, I used these metal cable ties things (not sure what they're called):

Next is to draw a template, in my case I went with a three band design. You can cut it with an X-acto blade, start off with light cuts, keep making light passes until the blade goes through the material. Don't try to force it too much, or the cut will be jagged.

After you've completed the cut, its time to sand the sharp edges to make them smooth, then bend it to shape.

If you want a rough brushed-metal look, you can use coarser sand paper. But if you want it to be shiny, you have to use a super-fine grit sand paper (1500-2000 grit). You can experiment and see what you like.

Here's what they look like on a figure:

They're fairly easy to make and takes only 10-15 minutes. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and find it somewhat useful :)
