Hey guys,

I've seen some posts circulating on Facebook about Dolphin Toys female seamless body, looks like a rival to Phicen and it appears to be very good! (stainless steel skeleton too).

Haven't seen any announcements on here, did a search...

Anyone got any info? I can't post the pictures at the moment that I've seen but if nobody has found them by this evening I'll hunt them down.

thanks.

just saw these on SMCG for 54.99 think I am going to take a risk and order two of the tan. I love my Phicen, but Variety is the Spice of life.....that is almost two SS bodies for a 110.00 not bad.....

going to pump the brakes on these. they do look good and the pricing is not bad. just going to wait if they are done well they will be around for me to see some in hand pictures to make a better decision as to why I need these. right now I have enough Phicen SS bodies with at least five box set on the horizon. Red Sonja, two Lady Spartans, Mercy Dante and the Very Cool Raska, so I am going to chill for now and wait for in hand pictures....again love the price. would love to see better shots of the rear. the rear can make or break a figure....at least for me. for those who ordered this it would be greatly appreciate if after receiving them you would post pictures...please.

I also just added them to the Preorder page and will be able to answer some questions about them.
I have received a few....

skin tone: Suntan and Pale
YES: they will be VERY Compatible with those bodies that are labeled this way. Many of the bodies in the market now are more into the "suntan" tone..especially the recast heads we see pop up from time to time.

Skin product: What I was told is they are not as soft as those Jodul bodies but they are not as hard as the other brand that many of us have in our collection already. So I guess somewhere in the middle.

Price point: between $55 and $60 at most places on average.

So what is the difference really.....I don't know 100% but at the price point, I am giving them a shot and hopefully those who haven't tried a seamless due to price, this should get those off the fence.

I will try to help more if I can...just let me know

I would say $55 compared to the usual $65-$70 range is a start as far as a benefit goes.
So if the product is very comparable, same or better quality overall then it is a win-win for everyone I feel.

I am giving them a shot!!!! and getting them for everyone.

Just as a note. For the price you get a steel skeleton body. Just ordered 2 of the tan from SMCG. Did some shopping as there appears at this point to be limited vendors. With the math it Is overall cheaper to buy from SMCG with their shipping costs. The 2 Asian vendors HKD covert to $57.00 plus an additional $20.00 for shipping on 2 to the USA.

Same question as Slobodaneee... want to know if both D0-1M & D0-2M can stand unassisted... and also if the rubber/silicone layer at the foot base is sufficiently thick and sturdy.

With the perma-heel Phicen... the blade-like foot armature has already punctured thru the thin rubber/silicone covering of both feet purely due to the weight of the figure.

The one thing that's great about this is that it gives the current market leader competition. It will force them and everyone else to reduce prices. Awesome for customers.

But we are still stuck with the anorexic super-model body type with huge boobs. I don't see how this can contribute to "variety" when all it does is replicate what everyone else has been doing. A lot of people likes this body type, I get it. Not saying it's wrong. I like 'em too. But they're the only ones out there. It's kind of irritating now.

Now if you want to talk about variety, the 1/6 male body has variety.

you must not own the S05 and the S06 they are definitely not the anorexic super-model body type, some may considered the boobs huge, but I do not. maybe it's the women I been around in my life, cause when I look at those two I do not see huge boob. I see a nice bust line. this is not address at you Zondi, but I think we have members who want female bodies with almost no bust. each to their own but in the real world I am just not attracted to a women with a chest almost the size of mines.

good thing there are enough people who are interested in the phicen figures...they seem to have no problem selling them. you can't please everyone as you probably know. but there are women built similar to these figures so they are not as unrealistic as you claim them to be. if these were built like the "average" woman I am not sure what you would get. average is different to different people.....I just want female figures that are pleasing to my eyes...

Can some of you post some pictures here of your Dolphin Toys Steel skeleton with your favorite matching skin tone head sculpts. How are owners liking this steel skeleton body version compared to phicen's current base bodies? Are there any problems or issues with the steel skeleton or the skin material so far? Any reviews or feedback on the Dolphin Toys bodies would be appreciated. Thx.

I have two of these on pre-order, and will be doing a seamless shootout photo review between them and comparable Phicens. As much as I like the Phicen bodies, I would be very happy if a new competitor pushed innovation up and prices down in the seamless body arena, so I'm rooting for Dolphin to succeed in ways that the other players haven't. Stay tuned.

I wonder what happened to these solicited bodies?

I heard these bodies caused some "butt hurt" for PHICEN as competition and also the main/primary 1:6 distribution monopoly in Asia (BBICN) due to their business preference/relationship with PHICEN.

Take this with a grain of salt, but supposedly one US retailer was very keen in working with DOLPHIN and supposedly engaged in some business discussion with them to act as a sole distributor for them provided favorable exclusivity and pricing terms could be agreed upon (i.e. money as usual).

The figures are still listed as pre-order online in a few places last I checked.

JIAOU DOLL also solicited their suntan skin tone version around June or so of last year.
