Wimpie, are you sure he's SEAL? He does seem to "lack"
the usual gear such as MLCS and so on. Also, there's
some sort of marking on his rifles magwell I don't recognize.
Maybe it's because it's just class. Anyways, cool pics.

Cheers/Nordstrom

Navy SOFs
The first pic is from a "dog and pony" show by Naval Special Warfare Development Group

Sailors assigned to Riverine Squadron One (RIVRON-1) conduct field and water exercises as part of their final evaluation prior to deployment. Sailors from RIVRON-1 will deploy in support of Maritime Security Operations and the global war on terrorism. U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Jackey Bratt (RELEASED)
They are not considered SOF(not like the Swicks at least)

That MARPAT is made by Crye Precision, and is built as one of their "Combat Shirts". Awesome to see a pic of that in operation.

Those SEALs are not wearing MARPAT. It is correct that the uniform is built by Crye, but it is not MARPAT. The camo has its own name and is issued to a certain group of people (dont want to say who or what the camo is named due to OPSEC)

You don't have to say who for OPSEC...the article for the fallen SEAL says already...he was a member of Naval Special Warfare Development Group(DEVGRU)...Tier 1 USSOCOM unit...they get all the cool gear/toys..

Your right, I've read the article. Its also issued to other groups and you probably know the name of the camo hqpham, but some things are better left off the net.

The pattern was mentioned before in official publications, other teams have also got some gear in the pattern after training in damn neck. I've seen some pics of modded pouches in the pattern. I've recently been told by someone that there is even a newer pattern out.

Crye made the frog II bdu for the usmc, then there is both an acu cut and crye cut bdu in the pattern, those have pants / shirt, field, navy, custom in the labels. Beyond tactical also makes the pattern in their lv.9 bdu's and i wouldn't be surprised if ar'c teryx also made some of their leaf line products in the pattern.

I left out the name of the pattern since i didn't want to start something.

A bdu in the marble looking pattern worn by the other dev member was for sale on ebay a while ago.

My comment was actually a joke. Some people think that because a operator is wearing what they are wearing,be it ACU,MC,MARPAT,that they have to be from that specific branch that is issued that type of camo.

Most of these pics can be found at Navy.mil
This gear ( Corpsman Helmets - Kevlar ) Shouldn't be used for Reference Material, They use these in Training Only, along with Operational issue along with Green Berets, but this kind of Sourcing Should be specified, DEVGRU SEALs, or just SEALs are you wondering about ?

SEAL Operators from DEVGRU do not wear this gear.
