Creating a class in CoD4

You're exactly right on creating a class. Just pick what you want and name it something that describes your load out or whatever you want to call a particular set up.

Sometimes you can't use Perk 1 depending on what attachment you have on the weapon you have chosen.

Just keep killing the bad guys, and perform the challenges and you'll unlock some fantastic stuff (i.e. stealth, M14, claymores).

Yeah, make sure you pay attention to those challenges. You can unlock some cool stuff (I just got the ACOG scope last night for my AK-47) and get some serious experience points.

And when playing multiplayer, be sure to change it up between maps. I find that switching stuff around for certain maps is not a bad idea.

Yes there are some maps that are definitely sniper friendly and others are CQB friendly. The M4 is a good all around weapon that allows you to get off some decent mid-range shots, and has good mobility for traversing corners. The M14 is good, especially its stopping power, but sucks when your in the thick of it because of its 20 round mag. You can't beat the SAW for its ability to spit out lead, but can hinder you in tight quarters. The shotguns and the AK-74u are perfect for the close encounters like the ship and that round castle thing.

When i play i multi player i have set up different classes... one set up for stealth.. i have either extra ammo or claymore for perk 1, perk 2 double tap so when u fire my gun it will shot at a faster.. perk 3 dead silence.. so they wont hear me comming and also i have a silent M4 with with m9 slienced. another clas is sniper.. with that i have one of my perks as iron lung.. UVA Jammer as another.. and claymores as my last perk.. weapons i use a 50 cal. and secondary a M14.. so it just depends what kind of set up u want.. when u play online a go up in rank u will unlock more weapons and perks as u keep playing and going up in rank... so hope this helps..

Ship and round castle thing? I haven't seen those in MP. I've been mostly playing in a Hardcore server, not many folks on the server Hollowpoints' clan has. I'm up to like a Sergeant 2 or something like that.

The server I'm mostly on is AC Hardcore, I go by 54thCuda

fyi the acog is the WORST attachment EVER they butchered it so badly!

I got the ACOG yesterday and it's like using the sniper rifle, and holding shift doesn't steady it. I've been using the M16 w/red dot mostly

I unlocked the x-ray vision but it doesn't show up in any of the perks

I really like the ACOG scope in the game. I have no idea how close it is to the real thing, but in the game it really helps a lot.

It doesn't really unlock anything, you just receive XP's towards your next rank.

All you guys are right about the ACOG. I tried it a couple of times and switched back to the Red Dot.

X-Ray Vision is just a challenge where you kill people through walls. You get experience points.

most of the weapons can shoot through walls but the m16 is the most effective on that...
