Been messing around with my Mini Lathe again.

This was turned from hardwood with a wooden button as a base. I painted it with a primer and finished it with gold enamel. The candle is a genuine wax candle - it was cut from a long taper that churches use to light their candles. It is tiny and only burns for 5-10 minutes.

I was going to show some progress pics but there wasn't much to show. Get a stick; cut it to correct length; turn it on the lathe; trim the ends, glue the button on the bottom, enlarge hole at the top to accept the candle, and paint it. Took a couple of hours.

Very cool.

Glad to see you enjoying that lathe and you're cranking out some pretty killer stuff.
