I have a few of these hiding around the garage and wanted to try something a little different. I thought it would be cool if I could make an independent suspension utilizing a torsion spring.

I did accomplish that but when I put a load on It seemed to sag too much for my liking so I added a coil spring to the mix.

I wanted to use a larger diameter tire and wheel combination to match the size on the Wiley's so the fenders had to come off. I'll be adding a flat fender instead of just a larger diameter circular one.

Please forgive the crudeness of the bodywork, it's still a work in progress.

Thanks, it is turning out like I had it drawn up (in my head:wideyes)

I got both flat fenders made and mounted. It's kind of in a holding pattern while I work on the garage this week. There is still lots to do, it will get pulled behind my orange Willy's, so it will get the same paint scheme and loaded down with accessories. It just sits there and stares at me on the work bench waiting for my to move it forward!

When I sculpted (clay) it was always the same thing, that project would taunt me till I finished it! :poke
