I watched Begins and The Dark Knight. Does anyone think it's funny/hilarious when Christian Bale switches to the rough Batman voice?

My friend does a good impression of it and it makes me laugh.

There's been a lot of talk about this all over the web in the past week, it's pretty funny.
One guy compared Bale's voice to a kid impersonating an grown man trying to pull off a prank call.

The Bat-lash has started!

I think Christian has the right idea though, Batman should be intimidating, it works a lot of the time, especially when he's shouting, it almost sounds like a roar, like in Begins when interrogating the bent cop he bellows "SWEAR TO ME!".
Mind you they must have cracked up on set loads of times over that voice.

Yeah when I first heard it I was like "What the heck is he overacting for?" and then it made sense...of course he'd "overact" because he needs to be so different from Bruce Wayne for people never to suspect.

In retrospect, it's pretty goofy that in the old 60's Batman show the voice was the same with or without the masks on.

It's nothing short of genius.

Bale brought an aspect to Batman that I didn't even consider when reading the comics.

He has indeed "changed everything", and the box office speaks for itself.

I kind of like the slightly deranged Batman that I know and love, being that his real voice is Batman's voice and Bruce's voice the made up one.
I also have grown comfortable with Kevin Conway's voice acting for Bats in all of the cartoons.

I was fine with the hoarse voice, never really gave it thought as he was So in character, but it bugged my friend.
We started joking and eventually I found it was almost like Old Snake's voice. :p "Drebin? I'm Batman."

In the Knightfall story arc, Robin taught Azrael Batman how to talk to Gordon by telling him to use a grittier/raspier voice like Bruce Wayne under that cowl.. so this voice is faithful to the comic character...Wayne has so many public appearances that his voice would be known to all, the movie was just being true the comic book mythos...
