ATTN MEMBERS: Come be a part of the OSW Diorama for WoH 08'!!! UPDATE 3-29-08!!!!

A hearty "Thank you!" to everyone who has committed figures to this project! It looks like it's going to be an amazing dio once it's all completed!

At this point, we need to finalize the amount of figures that everyone will be bringing. Some of you already did so from the outset, but some of you said that you could commit "teams" or "several figures" or "3-5" figures, etc. So, to help out ol' LG and to give us an idea of how many figures we'll be dealing with, it's time to commit a solid number.

Please take a look at the list below. It should include the names of everyone who will be involved. If the information is not correct, please post a reply here with the correct info. If you have not stared an exact number of figures thus far, please do so now. And, because of the number of members that will be involved in this project, we can only accept up to five figures from those of you who have multiples to contribute. Again, there's no assurance that all five will make it into the dio due to space-- and the fact that everyone who committed to this project deserves to have at least one or two of their figures displayed.

Thanks for the efforts of our very own LaughingGravy, the OSW will have its very own dio this coming year at Weekend of Heroes 08'.

"So, what do I have to do to be a part of this?"

Well, this project will be a place to showcase the talents of the members of the OSW. So, we will be accepting figures from any and all members willing to donate an original bashed figure to the project. (Of course, the figure will be returned to you.)

"Do I need to attend WoH 08' to have a figure in the dio?"

Nope. You can live in Antarctica and still have a figure in the dio. All you have to do is mail your figure (to whom is yet TBD) and provide the postage to have it mailed back to you after the show.

"What kind of diorama is this going to be?"

The dio will be showcasing our fighting men (and women) in Iraq. So, the figures will need to represent US fighting forces (no PMC's for this project) currently stationed in Iraq. (i.e. 3-color, ACU and desert MARPAT).

"Does my figure need to be specific, or can I bash any figure I want?"

Yes, as long as your figure fits into the criteria above, you can bash any branch of the military you'd like. The dio is going to be more of a backdrop than a dio made to create a specific "scene".

Here's what we need from you: a commitment. If you say your going to donate a figure to the dio-- then come through on your commitment.

In order to combat flakiness and last minute drop outs, you will be asked to have your figure bashed by April 30th and submit a photo of your figure as proof of the finished project. LG is nice enough to offer to make this dio for us and no one here should waste his time by commiting to something they can not follow through on.

Any and all questions or comments can be posted here in this thread.

This thread will also serve as the "sign up" sheet for the project. Just let us onlw that you're in and give us a general idea of what kinf of figure you'll be doing (Marine, Army, SEAL, SF, PJ, etc).

In order to acertain how much room we'll need for our dio, the final day to sign up for the project and have your bash displayed at WoH will be Feb. 28th.

For the moment, we're only looking for one figure per member until we get a better idea of how many members/figure will be involved. At that point, we may give the green light to submit a second figure.

This project has tons of potential and could be the shining gem of WoH 08'! I say we all kick it into high-gear, kick some butt and show the 1/6 community how much the OSW rocks!!

UPDATE 02-14-08

Okay, so it looks like things are going moving along nicely on this project! Congrats and thanks to all those who will be contributing to this project.

So far, we have 25 members contributing figures. I know alot of you stated that you'd have more than one figure for the project. As of now, there's still no way to know exactly how many figures the dio will fit. We probably won't know until we're actually putting things together on-site.

But, everyone will get at least one of their figures in this dio. We ask that you bring all the figures you'd like to place in the dio and we'll fit them all in as best as we can. Also, please only bring a maximum of five figures.

To keep track of who is contributing what, I'll be posting the "official" list here. If any members have changed thier minds, can not contribute a figure, etc., please let me know ASAP.
