The original posted above head sculpt looks great but , and to give it the benefit of the doubt it could be the photo, the one in the photo seems elongated and suffering from 'bill board brow' (as per Naruto) And yes the moulded hair doesn't do it for me either.

I'm a little teasy over there being 2 versions with a corresponding difference in price the only difference being the base. As I recall Legolas had a couple of different or amended outfits in the film ?

TOTALLY agree. They've stepped it up well enough without molded hair to set a new standard. The molded hair on Legolas looks awful. To me, anyway.

Yeah, I was disappointed they decided to go back to sculpted as well. But, they listen a lot, it seems, to all the whiney insecure males over at SSF who complain that rooted hair is too Barbie. They said trying to do the braids with rooted was too complicated, and this was the best way to do him.
