Any difference between MARPAT Pants & Standard BDU Pants?

Other than the camo pattern (duh), what difference is there between USMC issue MARPAT pants and standard BDU pants (what the Marines and Army were using beforehand)?

Thanks,

Greg

The MCCUU pants have an extra bellow fold in the thigh cargo pocket, and I believe the MCCUU can accept foam kneepad inserts. Other than that, I don't believe there are any significant differences in cut and construction.
Prior to MARPAT & ACU both services were wearing the woodland BDU.
Thanks, Pivot - you answered exactly what I needed to know. :)

also have elasticated cargo pockets with only one button located at the rear. No blouse ties in the ankles, no pull tight waist straps and the knee pads are angled rather than straight like BDU. But more or less main changes are to the cargo pocket as a whole.
