Hi all,

As I was looking for info for an article I'm writing about a regiment of the American Civil War (55th New York Infantry, 'Lafayette Guard'), I came across a cool French website of reenactors of the Club Confédéré et Fédéral de France (CCFF, French Confederate and Federal Club). The CCFF website has got a forum for anyone interested in the Civil War, whether you're a reenactor or not. I recently suscribed to this forum because there are loads of information in it, and also a game-and-figurine section. There are obviously threads dealing with 1/6 figs (and someone has mentioned OSW forum by the way).

But, what is funniest, and surprised me above all, is that I saw threads about.... Playmobils!!! I didn't know there were detailed Civil War Playmobils available, and I was very surprised to see that some people collect them and set up entire armies, and display them into battle dioramas! I find this funny and original, so that's why I'm telling you about it. :b

Here are some links about Civil War Playmobils on CCFF forum (threads are in French but you can at least look at the pics!):

that's awesome!

i grew up playing with Playmobil, and i also had a lot of ACW stuff; a fort, a wagon, cannon, etc. cool stuff, and i still have all of it.

some of those figures must be custom painted, though.
