Hi guys,

I'm facing some trouble here while attempting to apply a coat of wash over my M4 sprayed with Tamiya acrylics. I use heavily thinned W&N oil and it seemed to melt my acrylic base coat...... what should I do, or am I simply using the wrong type of thinner? If so, any recommendation?

Thanks:cheers

I mostly use water-based acrylics for painting.

My washes are just watered-down acrylics then.

With brush in one hand and Kleenex or Q-Tip in the other, I can liberally apply the wash and daub it off. I don't have any problem with the colors breaking down or stripping.

The more I think about it, the more I realize this was probably no help to you whatsoever. :erm

Appreciate that mate. Problem with acrylic is that they tend to dry too quickly, leaving some very visible stains.....
