Above is the result of me just messing around with a small swatch of the MC pattern. I wanted to see if I could create a seamless tile out of it (meaning the pattern could be repeated vertically and horizontally without the edges between tiles being obvious).

Looks like it works OK. Above is 4 images tiled together. The scale might be off a bit. I'm still working on it. :)

The swatch can be tiled together and put into a 8x11 sized document and printed onto paper or fabric sheet. Haven't tried it yet myself.

The above image not to be made for sale nor distribution.
The Multicam pattern is property of Crye Precision. Please only buy official Multicam products.

Any pics Ronin?
Ooops, sorry. Are they showing now?
Yes they are. I don't have any experience with this subject but it looks pretty damn good to me.
Hey Norm, I would be careful if I were you. From what I understand Mr. Crye Precision goes after just about anybody who isn't licensed to reproduce his camo pattern. This may justify as a replication.

I wouldn't want a lawsuit against you, well at least not until the check clears, and I have had an opportunity to copy it.:rolling
Yeah you're probably right if I ever thought about charging for it (which for sure I'm not crazy enough to do). I'll put a few disclaimers up there and maybe I'll be lucky to get a cease and desist if they decide I'm doing it wrong. :)

Essentially what it is though, is a scaled down and seamlessly tiled version of one of the many images displayed online.
What about an ACU pattern? I'd like to do a GR bash.....seeing as how no one has released one yet.
I wonder how that works in one-sixth scale? Does Mr. Crye get a piece of the action?

I don't know how they compensate him, but from what Alex at Toyrrific says, he is a pretty hands on guy. He will go after you, legally, if you are not authorized by him to produce his pattern in 1:6.
As far as printing ones own patterns onto fabric goes, I've found these printable sheets online, but I don't know of any companies that offer "print your own design onto larger sheets of cloth" services. Does anyone else know of any companies that do that?
It would be quite cool to be able to design your own types of camo.
I understand the issue with the multicam..........all I want is to do a bash without having to buy several unis just to be cut up for making the vest & etc..........would anyone be willing to print some for me? ACU that is......I don't want anyone catching hell over the Multicam.
Do you know if you can use a normal printer to do it?
Hey Happy,
I have absolutely no experience with it so that's the reason for this post.

It all depends on how much resolution you want and how much dpi your printer is capable of printing. If you want it to have high resolution, but your printer has low dpi, you can always take it to Kinko's.

Save the pattern to a word doc (unless you and your local Kinko's have the same photo shop) on a flash drive or cd, buy some printable fabric, then take it to Kinko's. Tell them you want the best dpi or resolution they have.
No Kinko's here.

I assume with kinko you mean some kind of printing store?

I will look out for some fabric and try it. :D
54thCuda2, I was going to do a piece of ACU fabric by scanning the uniform of HT's 10th Mountain Sniper and realised that it was too weathered to get a good pattern...... bummer. If u could help me get a scanned piece of unweathered ACU from the brand u like, I could probably come up with something for u. Let me know if u r interested.
I don't even know which set is the best or which set is the closest to 1:1
