ACU & MARPAT question?

Hey guy's,

Can someone tell me who makes the best ACU bdu's and the best Desert MARPAT?

I am trying to do a bash on a Army SF guy from the National Geographic program called: Inside The Green Berets. I would like to bash Capt. Rob, the guy from Texas, and wanted to know if anybody who has seen this program know what chest rig and body is he wearing and if TS or HT make it?

ACU would be either BBI or Soldier Story.

Desert Marpat - Saturday Toys.

Alexei, do you have any ACU's? You have some stuff I wanna get from your store? Shootme a PM if you do.

Grunt1162: Yes this DVD is out, I have it, and like it very much. Granted it's only 50mins. but the quality of the film is great! Seems like HD quality to me.

Anybody know what chest rig Capt. Rob has?

Yeah Ive done a bash myself, He is wearing a Coyote Tan CIRAS vest like the one from the TS Force Recon Figures and the Navy EOD figure I have the video and as far as I can tell this is the Rig I do know he has a Modular holster centered on the vest other than that it's a pretty basic loadout, good luck with finding one I snatched up 4 of them when they were over at Monkey depot.

The BBI Tony Bishop MARPAT is real good too. I haven't seen the Saturday toys ones yet, but I have heard good things. None of the ACU I have seen is very acurate, but you can probably chalk that up to lighting, poor patterns in 1/6, dye lots of both 1/6 and real stuff, wear and degrees of clealiness from pictures of the real stuff. So that said, I like the TS and Soldier Story myself.

I think the TS ACU and the TS EOD Ciras vest would work for this bash, also did a Capt. Rob bash a while back, from that GB Nat'l Geographic documentary, have fun with the kitbash and looking forward to it

I think BBI and Saturday Toys MARPAT are either the same or very close to each other. BBI MARPAT Helmet goes very nice with Saturday Toys BDUs, you don't even need to swap the cover for the one in Saturday Toys set.

And Toy Soldier has an ACU figure coming in a few weeks that also has a ACU MICH.Once they are parted out,you could snatch up those as well.

Man it's going to be tough to find that vest! I knew I should have picked it up when I seen it.

Nice bash Migo11, I remember somebody had bashed it, but couldn't remember who. You did a great job buddy.

I think the headsculpt I might go for thats kinda close to Capt. Rob is the HT PMC(first version).
