What type of pose do you prefer setting up your figures on the shelf? Or are you a lame boxed person?

I would say depends on the figure

For years, I had both... shelf standers and action, usually in small dioramas.

But... space constraints, and the desire to simply downsize and display my most favorite 300 or so behind glass, has led me to entirely museum pose... the closest I get to "action" is some kneeling figures.

When not animating: Museum pose. When animating: Action poses galore.

I think the expression on the head sculpt matters. A blank expression suits a static museum pose. An animated expression suits an action pose.

Agree with all of the above. A character like Chung Li demands an action pose. Teams, with passive expression, I can live with a museum pose.

I go with museum poses , that way I can get more figures per shelf in my IKEA cabinets.

I have both. The boring old museum pose does allow for more figures to be displayed. You can stack em real good. Like free standing firewood.

But a good dynamic pose is always great to look at. Especially for movie figures.

Museum pose in the glass cabinet where the majority of my figures are, but the few figures on the bookshelves have a more active pose.
