Gotta be careful what the manufacturers put out as "correct".
Typically I always wore my radio on my non-shooting side. First so I could keep my hand on my weapon. Second to keep clutter to a minimum on my shooting side to facilitate getting solid contact behind my weapon while firing and finally leaving me a "free" hand to use the radio in a firefight (a sure time to need it).
Since the large majority of figures have right side holsters we can assume they are right handed. Very few guys (though there are some) shoot pistol weak side and primary left handed.
