Phenomenal weathering, love the bloody bandage. Makes me want to go back and rework my WWII 82nd figure. The helmet is really well done as well, though I have to ask what the logo is on the side?

The insignia looks like the 509th PIR , or Geronimo's, which, if is the case, then this guy wouldn't be 82nd.

The 509th was an independent unit, specifically, the 2nd Battalion, which was the only Battalion of the 509th organzied an put into the line.

After their participation in Operation Dragoon, as part of the 1st Allied Airborne Task Force, they were attached to 101st and 82nd respectively, and eventually, the handful of surviving members were absorbed by the 82nd sometime after the Ardennes in '45.

Now, besides my historical accuracy diatribe, I think the fig itself looks wonderful. Great weathering and love the Geronimo insignia on the helmet. :thumb
