So lately I've been gathering parts for a movie green goblin kit bash. I really, really love his movie design. And I have absolutely no idea why. This design seems to be universally hated, yet it is one of my favourite character designs ever. In fact, this green goblin, and then the first spiderman movie is what actually got me into the franchise, and then marvel as a whole. Just something about that helmet and armour makes him look so cool...but then again, i also like x-men origins interpretation of deadpool, so my character-design-judging skills may not be the best.

Anyways, so far, the parts i have got, and also ordered-

TrueType Body

Green Goblin MASK+Suit+feet from ToyBiz 12" Collector Series GG, all painted with a coat of gloss to get that nice, metallic sheen seen onscreen

HELMET, Hands, Feet from 12" Rotocast Green Goblin- A bit oversized. This is a HELMET, as in a full head sculpt, as opposed to the empty mask that came with the collector series figure.

1/6 Headplay Willem Dafoe Head- Not in hand......yet :gimme

Still stuck on what to use for hands. I need relaxed hands, Fists, and gripping/holding hands. Cheapest ones are preferable.

No pics yet, I may or may not post-I don't know if anyone is even interested in seeing how this goes.

Sorry for the long intro post and :thanks

First of all welcome to the Boards Firefly, great to have you here.As for anyone being interested in your work the answer is most definitely. One thing i find that's great about OSW is that even if people are not into your particular subject they enjoy and appreciate the processes you go through and the final product.
So please share by all means,it's a pretty cool Costume and i'm looking forward to seeing what you create.

Welcome. I'm interested in any pics. This version of the Goblin is the one HT should have made, instead of that crappy New Goblin, that can't be given away. Will you be making the glider as well?

P.S. That's not a long post. I've seen much, much worse. Usually someone saying they're quitting the hobby.

I've got a Dafoe hs I bought for exactly the same reason but never finished the project as the armour and body seemed way under scale for the hs, the hs might be slightly large too, shame as I custom built a glider for him but just pose the Toybiz Collector series 12" figure on it. Do you have any comparison pics of the roto cast next to the Collector version? It would be great to see what's compatible.

Thanks guys for the kind words,

Stryker2011- Yeah, that head sculpt is pretty awesome. And yes, it certainly is expensive, which is why it is WAAAAY out of my price range lol. It is a perfect representation of willem dafoe of the time, but the head play head is my only option (its around $30)

Marine boy- I wish i was able to make the glider, but I'm not sure it is really possible. I may give it a shot in the future though.

shovelchop81- Have you posted pics of that willem dafoe head on the collector series body before? I think i *may* have seen them somewhere before. The figure had new fabric on the forearms in the pic. How did you make that glider? Can you post pics? Id love to see how awesome it looks.

Pics coming soon, just a little busy lately.

Right after that last post, took some crappy phone pics. As you can see the whole neck area with the padding rides up way too high. Im considering hotglueing it down onto the body or something. Chest armour also needs to be lowered a little. The whole thing really doesn't look to good as of now.

(i hope these pics upload)
He looks much better with shoulder pads, i have fitted them but not attached them.

btw, I can get pics of the rotocast figure (with some parts separate, like the head hands and feet) next to the collector series costume on a ht body. Ive already taken both figures apart, so its the best i can do. The rotocast figures parts are a little too big for 1/6

I know this is an old post but thought I’d share my first ever attempt at customizing a scale figure, toy biz 2001 green goblin
