wanted to try this for a while ,and gave in

seamless Arnold type body ,clasic plastik boot id had for years ,and a knock off rock head sculpt ,just cause i thought it had the right sort of look ,it was bald ,and im lazy :lol
first tried staining it with red ink for base color ,not bad but washed right off :lol

50g POWDER PAINT FOR COLOURING POLYMORPH PLASTIC & INSTAMORPH SHAOE LOCK | eBay

so i tried red powder paint ,brushed on dry ,much like rubbing in pastels as seen on youtube , too pink :dunno

so i mixed it with black dry powder paint , too brown :dunno

so covered it in dry black ,looked good ,velvety and color fast when all rubbed in and excess blown off

but wrong color :dunno

so having a solid black base color with a smooth non cracking non painted surface i went with a thin red wet poster paint dry brushed over the black ,
looks okay but will crack if pose around a lot ,but it works for me as is

i think if you could find the powder paint in a darker color or darken it ,you'd be on to a winner ,as when applied dry it seems that it stains the surface rather than coats it so would possibly eliminate cracking ,

some craft foam, 2 watch batteries and a bit of twisty tie and gold paint and im calling him done :lol

That look fantastic. It really does. It also opens up many possibilities to achieve that comic book look. The head looks great too.

Okay I have to ask about the spider-man in the background. That isn't the HT one?

Oh and thanks again for the Mera inspiration.

Awesome figure!! Loved that show and rewatched and burnt through the old vhs tape when I was kid.
Little sumthing I have discovered for colouring rubber bodies .try sum colour fabric dye . I get mine from Tesco. I’ve used this method before for dying a muscle body blue for my rogue trooper and red for my death maul, jus follow instructions on packet and take out when u have the desired colour.
It won’t crack when posed and will make your life waaay easier for future customising . Hope that helps!

You brought out the "muscular" look of the suit very very well. In fact, that is one of the biggest difference between the 1992 TV flash, and the current CW version.

One a side note, John Wesley Shipp played the Jay Garrick Flash as well as Henry Allen on the CW Flash. Amanda Pays and Mark Hamill also played the SAME character (Tina McGee and The Trickster) on both shows.

I remember watching the pilot when it first aired and i thought i was such a great show.
