Thanks for showing. Great ! there is that little blue round file, i put all the paperwork in the boss give to me:lol
Seriously? While the detail of the chairs looks good, I, myself anyway, CANNOT see a $700 price tag...Damn, guess this is an expensive hobbyLooks like a custom made diorama made just for the photo. If those chairs are what I think they are, they're the 1/6 "Eames Aluminum Chair" by Vitra Design Museum that go for upwards of $700 each at retail.
I've gotten good deals for a couple of them that way. I haven't had luck though with the Eames Aluminum Chair, which I need for a dio.The last thing I'd want in my house would be a cubicle, reproduction or not! :lol
The Eames stuff you can find on ebay from time to time for more reasonable prices, if you know what you are looking for.
As an office worker, I can say I find the lack of wheels on those chairs disturbing!Looks like a custom made diorama made just for the photo. If those chairs are what I think they are, they're the 1/6 "Eames Aluminum Chair" by Vitra Design Museum that go for upwards of $700 each at retail.
I just had to work with the folks in the office, and occasionally had a desk, and I absolutely agree. As an office worker, I can say I find the lack of wheels on those chairs disturbing!![]()
You and me both. I'd be happy if I could just find the phones pictured!![]()
i found this online, and i so want to have such a dio for my cops.
:bravo
To be fair, the furniture reproductions you see selling at $700+ per item are not a sign this is an expensive hobby because those aren't made or marketed for the hobby. Rather they are meant to be art/museum pieces of design classics. People are paying sums that they'd pay for an art lithograph etc. They don't make them for our dioramas or the comfort of our man-dollies, and they might not be too sympathetic to that. You do occasionally see them used in "dioramas" like maybe in a Condominium project showroom or something like that where money is no object.Seriously? Well that explanation makes sense...of course I bought my whole livingroom set for about $700 (1:1 scale) so it kinda shocked me that someone would pay that for a single 1/6 scale chair...but then again, years ago, I paid $2000 for a real Les Paul and people around me couldn't understand that either...It's all about what ya like and what your willing to spend...Either way, that cubicle does look cool...To be fair, the furniture reproductions you see selling at $700+ per item are not a sign this is an expensive hobby because those aren't made or marketed for the hobby.
