    Weathering Black "leather"....

I checked on here for something related to doing this, but couldnt find anything...I got the new leather biker outfit that Dr. Figures put out and I want to scuff or dirty it up quite a bit to use for a Mad Max figure...Now, besides just taking it outside and rubbing it in the dirt, anyone have any ideas on how to weather it?....Its got a really high gloss sheen to it that needs to be smoothed down....Thanks...

Is there a product out there that you can spray on this kind of material to give it more of a matte or dull finish?...

Try some Johnson's Paste Wax. If you just rub it on the leather, it is pretty dull unless you polish it. On full scale items, shoe wax would work also, but on 1:6, it will probably leave black smears on your other stuff.

Try some find grain sandpaper. Just rub lightly. if u overdo it, it will tear.
