Question Look what I found on E-Bay !!!!!!!!

I have been looking for some Cadets ( Navy, Marine, Air force etc.) for a year or so. This is what I found today.

I was wondering if it is made of GOLD or what !!! What would make a couple of year old figure worth $1,400.00 !!!!!!!!!
    Just my two cents,

    Thanks
    Craig

    Dude,

How is 41 years a "couple years old"?

That is an original GI Joe item from 1967, and a rare "photo box" at that. Very very rare.

You might be thinking of the 2002 timeless collection reproductions that were done of the cadets by FAO Schwartz. Those came in pairs rather than a single, and they were window boxes.

Probably worth more than $1400. Very rare collectible for GIJoe fans.
I came, I saw, I went home happy.

    Man,
that uniform looks to good to be 40 years old, they must have had in a vault somewhere !!! Even after 40 years you would see some ageing (fading ect.) As for the price WOW !!! It's only worth that much to someone who will pay it !!! Just like the guy selling Snake Eyes on E-bay for $800.00 That didn't sell.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I was young, I couldn't wait to open the boxes and play with the figures and accessories. Not that I ever grew out of that, of course!
Rare is the kid who shows restraint with opening their toys, and now, that 'kid' is selling it for big bucks. Maybe it was a Christmas gift that 'got lost' in the back of the closet somewhere because it was hid too well from prying eyes and forgotten about?

While it would be nice if they could sell it for that price, I'm not sure that in this economy, big ticket items are going to sell as fast on ebay as they may once have.
I found this on ebay- another GI Joe figure, this one is the female nurse. There are three entries for 'make an offer', but the asking price is almost $9,000.00

I wonder how old the nurse is? She seems to have aged very nicely (haha).

Yes that is a vintage 1960's GI Joe Photo box item which are quit rare and loose uniforms with the brass stars on lower sleeves and brass anchors on collar are quit hard to find. I do think the price is abit on the high side because vintage GI Joe is not as pricey as before like in the 90's.

    Davinator65,

She looks good for her age. lol

MADE IN THE BRITISH CROWN COLONY OF HONG KONG
should at least give you a hint that this item is more than "a couple years" old.
