German Tank Hunter late 1944 Eastern Front.

After a long time I'm finally getting around to making figures. Lots of projects on the go but here is one I just finished. Its a German Feldwebel from late summer 1944.
He's relaxing with a smoke of his pipe after numerous attacks on soviet tanks after they make a breakthrough in Operation Bagration. I bought my first Dragon action figure about 20 years ago and this is an updated version of Gerhard.
The basic uniform is Steiner from DID which is an M42 version along with a mix of accessories right back to a BBI molded water bottle. I had to modify the MP40 pouches as they were too short for the magazines. The rest of the work is super detailing and painting. Helmet to be used in another figure. As he is a tank hunter he has just a basic set of equipment.
    Thanks for looking, John

glad to see you posting again, as always your figures are first-rate,
the subtle weathering and small folds in the uniform make this a really nice piece

How do you mount them to the bases like this? Do you somehow freeze their joints in place?

    Thanks for your kind comments.
I drill a hole in the base and in the foot, only dragon action figures are made to make this possible, the pin is about an inch high up inside the leg.
No its not Gerard repainted but another sculpt. Can find out if you need.

John, inspirational! Love the mods done to this and the details you brought to light with this fellow. The helmet is striking, that one photo jumps out at me for some reason! Love what you did with the Aldo Holger HS, nice to see the fellow in the thick of things!.........Jim

Real nice work! Like the idea with the piece of wood as a base, simple but effective!!
