I made a custom neck adaptor that fits on the ball joint. The head is hollowed cast and just slips onto the neck adaptor.

Katkuru, wondering about the material you used to cover that. PM sent too.
Venomous, that Grevious looks great, I wish I picked up one of these.

A simple and yet long delayed project on the to-do list. Not at all EU accurate, but rather a spin from the images available on Essential Guide and the web with some personal touches. I'm half way through of this, someday I'll complete the project with his trusted no.2, Gilad Pellaeon and his pet Ysalamiri.

The Rebel was actually inspired by Gaia's work, I'm thinking of getting a 1/6 Hasbro speeder for him and adding a Kama to his belt. The Stormy' a Marmit with Hot Toy body and the boot separated in 2 and Dragon bendy hands added. Still have to figure out how to make the hands more permanent.

    That MG42!!!! Great idea !!!!

Love it. How did you come up with/sculpt the helm?

Hi Mortar and thanks! The helmet is based on a mini-bust by another toy maker that rivals that of Gentle Giant.

Thanks Gene, yes I did. The template is Hasbro Imp officer with some modification. Not too perfect this time, but learn something from it which hopefully will have some use on the next sewing project.

Re: Show your STAR WARS bashes!

I have been working on a modified 1/6th scale Biker Scout the past week or so.

I took the Speeder Bike version from Hasbro. I switched the body with a Dragon toys body. I used an extra set of hands from the Commander Praji figure from SSC to replace the "toy like" Hasbro gloves. I cut the pouches from the belt and moved them up higher on the chest where they are supposed to be. I also glued the flaps down to the top of the pouches and filled them with cotton so that they would appear full.

The next step is to do some weathering and dremmel out the helmet so I can place a Hot Toys head inside it. I want the figure to have a removable helmet.

Here are some pics of it so far..

I think it has turned out pretty well so far.

My SW bash is actually a 1/6th scale AT-ST walker. I made this a while back and now it is going to Steve Sansweets collection. Mr. Sansweet is the Lucasfilm fans relations coordinator, and I have been in contact with him for a bit now. I am proud to have my model be part of the biggest SW collection on the planet. I have included some other customs that I have built. If anyone is still wondering I AM THE ONE WITH THE 1/6TH BLACKHAWK.

Yeah, I'll say. Of the Hasbro Imperials troops, I would think the Biker Scout would be the toughest to convert to something approximating the quality of an SST/Marmit/Medicom version. I've done a Snowtrooper that was pretty straight forward other than some weathering and putting a Dragon body/head under the helmet.

Great work. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Is the Biker Scout helmet large enough to put an HT head underneath?

Re: Show your STAR WARS bashes!

Wow I haven't looked at this thread in a bit. Some hot stuff here. Now.

Rogue Trooper - Now I know where all the Marmit figures are. LOL Love the IG-88, and 4-LOM. And the Death Star Gunner is AWESOME

Chakaman and rfr5671 - those scouts are awesome. The Nik Sant in stolen trooper armour, just like the movie

Venomous venom - awesome Grievous. Want to do something similar.

J3DI - love those fem figs

Raeus - amazing Secura, looks very good with that new body..... not airbrushed (chuckles at the pun)

bobamike - You sir have a sickness.... love it. The Hoth Luke in X-wing gear, brilliant. The Tweaked scout trooper . All those custom clones and Snowtroopers... sick man. What did you you to make your Gree? That's my favorite Commander. And it doesn't stop at 1:6 either. A man after my own heart... LOL Stay away from my collection though LOL.

And everyone else I didn't mention.... COOL STUFF!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Here's a link to my Rebel Commandos. I figured I'd post the link, and add pics if there is a request.
