Question about the slide show in the corner.

How are the pics for the slide show chosen?Are they past KOTM winners?Or ones in the gallery with the most hits?

Just picked at random by the almighty Norm. You will notice that they are all still the same pics from when the slide show was first started. I don't think he has ever changed them.

I think it would be sweet if it could randomly pull from the gallery. There are some awesome new stufv as well.

Yeah, that's been on the OSW "honey-do" list for ages. I built it initially so that I could easily update it. But I just haven't gotten around to it. I really need to find a good way to try to automate the updates somehow. The plan at the moment is to keep the 12 most recent KOTM winners in there.

I'll put a due date on it, and maybe it'll finally get the update it so desperately needs.

Seriously though from one pixel pusher to another, thanks for the hard work. I know how hard it can be to dedicate time to side projects even if they are a labor of love.

If I can make a humble suggestion. How about rotating all the nominees for KOTM in the slideshow? That way, we can see some more of the great works that get nominated, but don't win.

but please don't think for one minute it's because I've been nominated a couple of times but never won.

Not a bad idea perhaps. Have all the past KOTM's in the slideshow but switch to the month's nominees when voting is open. Sounds horribly time consuming though, so I'd settle for past KOTM's with pleasure.
Update is great, but like some said, almost feels like I'm missing some oldies already
