    1/6 Scale Toronto Show- Pictures

HI, here are some pictures from the Show in Toronto last weekend. I want to thank all of those that came out and helped out, including Geoff, Frank, and Tim. I also want to thank those that came out to support the show, including Val, Paul and Roberto for coming out and supporting the cause...

    Enjoy...

Very nice dioramas all of them. Thanks for sharing.
My personal favorite is the western one. Lots of character in these bashes! Love the guy with the bowler hat

Wonderful pictures, and I can attest that the displays did really look great. Andrew, Geoff, Frank and Tim really made even extra efforts this year, and it showed in the results.

Also I think the slight change of the location favored the 1/6 side: the Visitor's Centre of Forth York is a more attractive venue than the previous garrison building, and once you got inside, it was nice now to have a brightly lit dedicated room wholly for the 1/6 displays that was on the same floor as all the other events, displays and dealers, and encouraged floor traffic. Thanks to everyone who contributed, great job.

Cool, Andy. Thanks for sharing. I've seen your street in person. Tearing it down and moving it to Toronto must be a dickens.

These are some killer displays and dios!
So much to see in detail from the cowboys to the DAK gun position to the, well everything.
It's a dream of mine to establish my own home to build up something like that street dio with the commonwealth troops.
So much detail to pick out every time you take another look.
Thanks for sharing them with us Crusader, must have been loads of fun

Looks like a lot of fun and those set pieces are fantastic.

Must be so weird when the "civilian" observers at the event who aren't into 1/6 look at these displays and spot the Frodo, Danny Trejo, Jack Nicholson, Matt Damons etc., if they don't know the tradition of celebrity sculpts that really has no equivalent in 1/32 toy soldiers or whatever.

I believe I spied Radar O'Rielly in one photo.

All the displays are top shelf.

Did you have a good crowd?

I feel one of the best ways to support the hobby is to promote the hobby. Great group of displays guys. DAK and the street scene all looked good and the motor pool is a nice idea as well. I do like the western stuff allot as well, always good to see all of the horses and wagon make an appearance.

I picked the sculpt up on eBay probably 3 years ago. It was quite inexpensive, maybe 10 dollars. It came from China and I always assumed it was a Twisting toys sculpt. I'll dig around and see if I can find who I bought it from.

It was great to see the figures and dios and of course to meet some OSWers in the flesh.

That would be great if you can find out! It has a very interesting, unique look to it.

That looks like a killer show! Wish I could have attended. It reminds me of the old shows I used to attend in California back when 21st Century Toys was around. So much talent!
