    Soviet and Russian Border Guards

Hello everyone! It's been quite some time since I've posted any of my work. I have many finished bashes, but never had the means of photographing them aside from a camera on my phone. Now I have a much better camera and a shiny new photo booth; therefore, I'll be publishing a bunch of my bashes here again in the next few weeks.

This is a bash featuring two different eras of Border Guards - Soviet Union KGB Border Guards AND Russian Federation FSB Border Guards.

---- Russian Federation Border Guard ----

    PARTS BREAKDOWN -

    Body - SS
    German Shepherd - Unknown
    Boots - BBI
Uniform and Kepi - Custom made in the Granica pattern used by Border Guards
Vest - Custom made to replicate SPOSN made "Border Guards Vest"
    Rifle - Armoury AKS-74

---- Soviet KGB Border Guard ----

    PARTS BREAKDOWN -

    Body/HS - BBI
    Uniform - 21C Toys
    Cap - Unknown
Rifle - Repainted 21C Toys AKs-74u (Forgot to paint the pistol grip)
Boots, map case, belt, binoculars - Unknown
4 Cell AK Magazine pouch - Custom made
Soviet suspenders and flare gun with holster - Fellow OSW'er TomInKorea

    Some BONUS shots!

Thanks for looking! Please feel free to ask any questions or request pictures of anything you'd like to see more of!

That one was fun to do. The simplicity of the gear and stuff was a nice change!

Excellent detail on the uniform, cap, and web gear. Also, a great idea, matching him up with a companion KGB guard.
I don't know how big the original head sculpt was for that DML KGB cap(or maybe the guy had "big hair"), but it is large on even the bigger melons I've tried it on. Fitting it would take some work, and I feel like it might suffer.

Wes what a great custom uniform and gear. Wow! The camo is so unique and needs to be in my collection. That ammo bag you also made is a work of art. Lets see a picture of the flare gun!

Great looking figure. I really like the fit of the hat, and I know how hard I can be to get it to look right.

Thanks, Mike! That cap on the KGB guy is being held on by tape. It's HUGE

Thanks a bunch! This was my first hat ever and I was glad it came out like it did.

Uniform and combat vest are truly amazing items, but the one that deserves the big prize definitely is that Ak pouch. All around, OUTSTANDING, just OUTSTANDING job Wesley Jacoby !!!
