    Nice!

Lots of thought put into this one, very innovative with the dual arm solution.

And that looks like a Conan kit? Hmm.

That body looks great, I like how you've gone back to the old ankle design, it's so much better. I'd like to see another regular body and maybe a slim too.

The last head sculpt with the cropped haircut looks interesting to me. Although I do not collect ancient era figures, these are very beautiful. I might get a hold of that body, say, is there any slim body in the making?

BRAVO, Fabio! What an impressive line-up! Every item looks great. Excuse me, but I always thought that the body used for KP figures was a bit weak, you had obviously fixed that problem for me with the new muscle type body for all your future production. Thanks for listening.

I think that KP02A fit quite well this kind of Kit

KP02 is coming back in stock right now (should arrive in stock end of February).

This XXL Kit will fit well also with Hot Toys TTM20 kind of body.

Great to see other forces to be made. I really hope you have a Carthaginian in the plan as well. Hannibal's army almost sack Rome and they are worthy opponents that cannot be missed.

    That's great news!

Although, seeing how great a job you did with the torso on the kp04 makes me wonder what a heroik body would look like with that type of design for characters that go around shirtless like Conan

    I'm TOTALLY agree with you.
Would be a GREAT idea make a new big size body with this new kind of design!
We also made some test about this..
But you know, we are a small company!
So we need to go on step by step.

For us priority at the moment is make a new "standard" medium size body that can fit all our Roman/Ancient Times releases, and that follow all our clients requests/suggestions/wishes.

But yes, you are right about a KP02 kind body with this new design.

Re: Kaustic Plastik - PREVIEW 2014!!!

It should be noted that Praetorians of this Era were PROBABLY not Italian and were DEFINITELY not the older era palace dwellers.

Since at least Augustus' time, Romans of influence preferred guards of foreign extraction (typically Germans) so as to avoid any of them having any old vendettas, any nostalgia of the Republican days, or any respect for the Senate.

During Trajan's era, and especially during the year of four Emperors, these Praetorians actually got their caligae dirty. Surprisingly (or not) the Guard got its butt whipped when it came to blows with armies and auxilia of the Rhine in 69. [To be fair, this is more on account of really, really bad leadership from Otho at Bedriacum than their own real but probably exaggerated decline from hand-picked elite to glorified policemen. They obviously fell back at some point, but unlike the XIVth, were supposedly ready for round two the next day. Tacitus paints a very difficult picture to follow in Annals, II.43-44, and I welcome anyone with a better understanding to set me straight]. Later, they took part in a few campaigns in Germany.

So... Maybe we get a non-Italian, perhaps bearded sculpt, and maybe we get a rugged (69 or later) and not primp, slipper wearing Praetorian. I will buy either version!

Whoa, awesome head sculpts there KP. You could make a killing selling just the heads so that we can complete bearded SEALs or seasoned PMCs/trainers kitbashes.

    Awesome preview!
    Lots of wonderful stuff.

Personally, I find the new body a tad too muscular, but I'm sure it'll be great for half naked barbarians...
Looking forward to the Praetorian guard, although I would probably just buy loose pieces.

KP continues to blow me away. Every single one of these previews looks fantastic. The Praetorian looks like it's going to be another beautiful figure, and it will be great to have an opposing figure in the form of the Gaul. I cannot wait for all of these.

Keep up the great work Fabio, and all at KP. You are the best in the 1/6 world right now for me!

Awesome job Fabio! I knew if anyone could do good looking double jointed muscular arms it would be KP! And to get 2 sets!? That's unreal. When will these go on preorder, I have a feeling that these will definetly sell out.

Like others I am really impressed with the new body. I love the new arms!! They look great and will still have articulation! And the fact that you are offering both sets of arms for the consumer to choose is great. Thank you for listening to us!! I cannot wait for these to hit!!

Re: Kaustic Plastik - PREVIEW 2014!!!

KP's announcement is basically a "YOU GOT SERVED!" to ACI and other 1:6 manufacturers attempting/trying to create a niche for 1:6 muscular type bodies. Ultimately, this leads to everyone continuing to stepping up their 1:6 game and KP just stepped up their 1:6 game for 2014.

I do hope more information & previews will be to come for 2014.

Hopefully, a 1:6 athletically muscular female body?

I'm sure we all appreciate the variety of 1:6 muscle bodies being designed & produced, but please design & produce some 1:6 athletically muscled female bodies as well. It would be a shame just to have it all as a 1:6 muscle sausage fest so to speak.

Hi mate, please notice that many make some confusion about this point (there is this mistake also in some books).

The "Germani corporis custodes" was an elite guard of Praetorian soldier, for personal use of Emperor only. This guys coming from North of Europe.
Although the Praetorians may be considered the Roman Emperor's main bodyguard, the German Bodyguards were a unit of more personal guards recruited from distant parts of the Empire, so they had no political or personal connections with Rome or the provinces.

This tradition coming from Julius Caesar.
From De Bello Gallico, we know that Julius Caesar had a Germanic bodyguard.

But the Germanic Bodyguard was disbanded briefly after the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, and was finally dissolved by Galba in 68 because of its loyalty to Nero (ruled 54-68)

The 80% of other Praetorian Guards was Italic and coming from Center/North Italy.

With Septimius Severus (11 April 145 – 4 February 211), the Praetorian Guards changes.
The Italic was discharged and Praetorian Guards was recruit between Illyria country (was a region in the western part of the Balkan Peninsula inhabited by the Illyrians.)

It's for sure made with in mind the naked barbarians
We are still not sure if we will use this for Praetorian Guard too.
We will make some test once body will be ready and then we will take a decision about this.
