    "The Mercenary" Completed

    Greeting:

Just added the final touches to "The Mercenary" commissioned by the great folks over at Black Ops Toys. Thanks to Brian Sullivan for all the great gear used to bring this figure to life including the custom patches.

You can see more pics on my RPT Facebook page.

    Thanks.
    Eric

Looks good, those boots do look nice. Is this a game character or something? Wondering about no optics on the rifle...

Agreed, looks good, but no sights on the rifle isn't very effective.

Great bash and spot on compared to the inspiration picture.

Stunning! Great work. Can I ask what figure the head originally came from?

Apologies that it came off the wrong way, no harm intended. I only meant that your rifle has no rear sight (didn't mean optic). This is obviously what you intended, I apologize that my comment sounded so negative, I should have worded it better and it does look great!

No worries, man. I went with what I saw in the reference pic. I liked the clean look.

    Re: "The Mercenary" Completed

Looks great! Nice 'n simple. BUT, I really think his AR15 should have a rear sight....I *know* he's not supposed to be super accurate, but I actually think the carbine would look better AND function properly (no rear sight, hard to hit stuff. Might hit the VIP you are protecting). Sorry for picking points ;D
EDIT And BTW, that rifle in the ref pic (which is obviously an AK) has a rear sight - it's farther forward, and covered by his hand.

Thanks Canuck. The figure has already been shipped to the customer. He can easily upgrade the weapon of he so chooses.

Again, I was going with the clean look as seen in the reference pic.

Nice figure. It may just be the hood and the scarf but I get a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. vibe from this figure. With a few additions he would look right at home in that game universe.
