Okay gang, here's my simple impression of a modern Russian Air Force Hind attack helicopter pilot. This is a pilot from the 490th separate Tulsky helicopter regiment, stationed at Klokovo air base in north Tula. The Zsh-3B armored flight helmet is custom made from a 21st Century Toys 'Nam era Cav helmet. The flight pants in blue Kamysh tiger were made from the simple cut from the blister card release, with added pockets and ankle ties taken from the winter coat. The flight jacket was made from a DML BC-15, with all the extra bits taken off. Custom patches are courtesy of none other than Casual Collector! This particular pilot is showing off the fact he has a Romanian side folder AKS-47U Krinkov stashed in his office. Do Hind pilots were camouflage pants? Why yes they do, as seen in my reference photos. Would a modern pilot were these particular pants as part of his uniform? Who knows, but it sure looks cool! Questions, comments, and criticisms are always appreciated. Thanks for having a look!
