Interesting. Why is it just about every Russian figure DML puts out has the "Ivanovich" middle name?

Fair play to Dragon. Not my era of interest or my country of interest, but I applaud them (for once) for making something as interestingly unique as this.

OK, that's pretty cool, as well as obscure. As for Igor, his father was Ivan. Hence the patronymic Ivanovich. Looks like he has a mag pouch, tho he totes an LMG.

DMLUSA lists him as having a PPS 43 sub-machine gun included in the kit, thus the mag pouch.

    From DML USA site
    Uniform:
    - Tanker Helmet
    - SOV M40 White Helmet
    - M1943 Gymnastiorka Tunic (Private)
    - Hooded Winter Oversmock
    - Sharovari Trousers
    - Winter Trousers
    - Soviet Sapogi Boots

    Equipment:
    - Goggle
    - PPSh 41 Stick Magazine Pouch
    - M1891 Ammo Pouch
    - Red Army Synthetic Leather Belt
    - Water Bottle
    - Water Bottle Cover

    Weapon:
    - PPS 43
    - M1891/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle
    - PPS 43 Stick Ammunition
    - Ammo Clips for M1891/30 Mosin Nagant

    Aerosan RF-8:
"The RF-8 was an aerosan (aerosani or aerosled) used by the Soviet Union during the Winter War and the Second World War. Military use of the aerosani goes back to at least the 1920s. During the 1939–40 Winter War against Finland, some were equipped with a machine-gun ring mount on the roof. The aerosanis were initially used for transport, liaison, and medical evacuation in deep snow, and mostly used in open country and on frozen lakes and rivers. During WWII, aerosanis were found to be useful for reconnaissance and light raiding in northern areas, thanks to their high mobility in deep snow."

    Others:
    - NEO 3 Body
    - Hands
    - Character Head
    - Clear Stand Mount
So glad they include "Hands" with Igor

Very interesting choice. I'll admit that just when DML has me lured into apathy they turn around and drop one that surprises the heck outta me.

Happy to see this, and jumping on it as soon as it's released as a kit. Hoping that they'll follow this up with maybe a NKL-26.

This also opens the possibility of them releasing some Finnish troops.

Very cool. If I were still actively buying in the WWII era, I might have to pick this up.

Re: Dragon New Russian Aerosan RF-8

Just when DML releases something other than a German (which many people say they want....always lamenting "not another German!"), the first thing that happens is trying to justify that the Germans used that Russian vehicle too..........just another hint why Germans sell better than anything else when it comes to WWII.........

And, oddly, there is no mention of the LMG in the figure's description of what is included, although the LMG is clearly shown in the photo.......?......unless, this is just the first of the DX '12 figures that are about to be unleashed.....which might include the gunner in the front seat....

The MG (PPS 43) has been done previously by DML.

That's a really cool looking vehicle! What was the German equivalent of this or did they even have one?

Don't know if the Germans had their own version, but it appears they did use captured Russian ones....
