The way to make gloves

In the past few years, people have been asking me on how to make gloves. I tried to explain the whole process; however it is never easy to make all the things clear only by text description. This time I took an evening to record how I make gloves by taking pictures.

I hope the following pictures can make it easier for you to understand on how I make a gloved-hand, or how I glue a gloved-hand to be more exact.

tools you need: 1.toothpicks 2.modeling adhesive tape 3.thread clips 4. universal glue (not quick type) 5.tweezers 6.a piece of cloth from an old t-shirt

Apply small amount of glue to a 1:6 hand by using a toothpick, then cover up with cloth.

Apply glue to fingers, cover up with cloth again, then press with tweezers, it helps to get a good shape on fingers.

Cut as the dashed guide line, then glue the thumb.

I think it is easy to understand as the picture shows you, so I save my words you save your time.

After finishing the palm part, place the hand on an arm to measure the size for the rest part. ATTN: DON NOT apply glue to the arm.

If you are not confident to cut a straight line, use modeling adhesive tape as reference line.

Fix the edge with glue.

all done

As you have seen, it is all about gluing-covering up-cutting, it is not difficult at all but needs a little patience. It takes around 2-3 hours to make a pair of glue-hands. I hope I have made myself clear.

It will look better with weathering, pls refer to my previous bash works for detail, they are all weathered.

Sorry I really don't know how it calls in English. It is not super glue I think, super glue is super quick dry type. The glue I use feels a little bit sticky, it begins to dry at about 3-5 minutes, around 30 minutes to get firm, it provides you enough time to make adjustment.

It says shoe repair glue on the tube. If there are cobblers around, u might wanna see if that works.
