Nice bash, it looks just like the ref AMO, and the beret and hackle[?] are killer.
Nice placement of the hydration pack on him too.
I wonder what that orange blaze thing on the grip of his sidearm represents. O.o

Al, I gotta tell you, your supplies of DPM and other kit never ceases to amaze me.

I love the beret and badge.

I wish I had some of these, especially the Tam o shanters worn by the Black Watch.

It's interesting to see that this fellow is actually wearing a pistol, it's quite rare as you know, but it's always nice to have some great reference pictures when you can find them.

saiko thanks, now you done it, I have to find out what that orange marking is. hehehe
But most likely its an identification mark for the armory, I'm sure the experts will chime in and give us 411.

    grizzerr, Tiger thanks guys.

MisterscruffUK the whole beret was made by Banjoman.

John the secret to the brit gear is sales, you got to keep an eye out for them, and make sure to stock up at WOH.
Lots of goodies with good prices out there so going there is a must.
Also helps better if you have an understanding wife. =) hehehe

For the berets, Howard (Banjoman) makes the best, checkout his ebay store.

    Thanks Hardcase01

Semper Fi thanks man,I remember that brit bash of yours, top works man.

I started up on the second fig, got his mini mi in the works, but so far this is how it looks.

Working on the ammo can carrier, all I had was dpm fabric.
Most ammo carriers used by brits in ref pics are in auscam, od green, black, and some pics with the plastic ammo can.
I tried making one, and this is how it turned out.

    More wip pics to follow...

    more pics coming

That minimi looks good. I've been working on one too. I found the correct muzzle for the British version in one of the recent 21st Century weapons sets. The rest of the 21st Century gun is poor in comparison to DML's , but a quick muzzle swap makes it look spot on.
    Cheers,

MisterscruffUK thanks man, its hard to find those new tus sets here.
That's why I had to use the DML LSW flash suppressor.

    mikoyan29 thanks.

More updates for the mini mi gunner, sadly there are no 1/6 long range brit radios.
I had to use whats available, hopefully one of this days someone will make one.

    Ref pic of radio pack.

Killer bash AMO. Looks like everything came together to make one great looking radio man. Did you make that vest yourself? Looks great just like that minimi of yours.

    Al,

When I did my Minimi 100 round box, I just used a bbi Renegade one that I covered with Temperate DPM.

I don't think that you can go wrong using AUSCAM, because it is indeed what most pictures are showing.

It's only a matter of time until the MoD purchases 100 boxes to issue to Brit troops. I kinda counted on it when I made mine.

As for the 200 round boxes like you've shown here, I've only seen them using them as is (without cover), but I also can see that happening in due course too.

saiko thanks again man, the vest is from DML Mel RMC.

John I got my ref ideas from this pics with 200 rounders, I only wish that the 1/6 makers make one for us to use.

Thanks Ryan, it took me quite some time to figure out a way to do that.
    You should know man. hehehe
Since my first minimi RMC bash, I tried to think of a way to make a cloth carrier, but never really got this idea until now.

Here's a pic of my 3 minimi gunners, all sporting the new cloth ammo carriers that I made.

Thanks pd, Brits and foreign troops are my favorite bashing subjects.
I just can't get enough of them.

Tiger USMC thanks man, I'm real happy on how it turned out too.

    Al,

I'm loving the pics you've found!

So far my poor RM's are wandering around with palin-jane plastic boxes...

Seeing these pics, I think I'll try my hand at making an OD one or perhaps an AUSCAM one.

When are we going to get all of our RM's together? I suspect we could come up with two full troops with additional support from the Paras, Royal Gurkha Rifles and your Fusiliers!

My next figure is a 22nd Regiment Trooper...stay tuned!

John, I alway check out this site. http://www.defenceimagedatabase.mod.uk/fotoweb/Grid.fwx
They update every now and then, and have lots of cool ref pics.

It would be great if we could get our troops together, but its difficult to bring so many figs, and its a long drive to WOH for me.
I'll be there that Saturday, hopefully we can chit chat between the browsing and buying sprees. hehehe
    Keep them British bashes coming.

Lol.. that would be a sight to behold if you culled your Brits together.
Maybe a nice dio in a field?

Nice Minimi gunners AMO, I like their varied gear from man to man [to man]. Very sharp troopers youve got there!
