Looking to outfit a pre great war US Soldier, and wondered if anyone had produced a Springfield Model 1892-99 rifle in sixth scale yet.

If that is a .30-40 Krag-Jorgenson I read once that the SST Sgt. Schultz had one.
That is correct, but good luck finding one! Complete Schultz figure pop up on eBay every now and then, but expect to pay a decent amount.
I made mine by taking a 1903 Springfield Model A3-03 and adding the flip box lid on the side.![]()
i thought about that, but I don't think i have the skill to make the rest of the conversion (removing the "hump", for example). I may have to try, but i hate to destroy a springfield in my efforts, those are hard to come by too!
thanks for the tip on the Schultz figure.

I have that Schultz figure and rifle. If anyone has the skill to make a mold (for personal use) I would willingly loan it out, gratis.
If you decide to make your own by modifying another rifle you should consider using the Cotswold 1903 as a starting point.
I'm in the process of a krag conversion for casting it so if you can wait a little while I will have some soon. Also planning a winchester lee for the marines.

Yeah, count me in. Along with Tony Barton's excellent early Lee rifles, this will fill in a big gap for historical bashing.

Count me in as well. I am definitely looking forward to it.
I would be interested in this as well.
Count me in on a couple of Krags.
Well, it's nice that so many of us could use one, but we still don't have anyone who can cast a mold of one...
So, we shall dream on, until someone can be found with the skills and materials, eh?

I'm in for Krags
