HA! New??? I used that stuff back in college...in the 80"s! It was called "Friendly Plastic" and I have 2 lbs of it in my basement!
It melts to goo and you need to work quick with it, though it is goood for pressing into rigid molds. It is also a bit on the brittle side (just a little) when it's cooled. It also does not adhere real well by itself if you are thinking of sculpting right on an action figure...though glue certainly works.
When I say goo...I mean GOO! It's like plastic snot once it melts. They also sold metalic and patterned little squares of this stuff. It was big with the jewelry making crowd back in the 80"s. With a little practice that stuff actually has some potential. I don't think it's "particulary" toxic and it kind smells like soap when it is melted. Use a glass bowl to heat it in...it is fairly sticky hot snot when it's melted and glass worked the best. I still use it from time to time...

Sorry mate, but I'm sure it's the same stuff. Like I said...it has it's uses though. By all means buys some and write your own review. Maybe your experience will be different.
If you think it's plastic...but it'ssnot!
