For Us There Is No Land Beyond the Volga (New photoshopped pics)

Well, I originally posted this back in June, at the start of summer break… It basically was meant to take up time because I got up really early and had nothing to do… I have since learned some basic things in photo shop and figured id mess around with the photos to take up time at work…. I got rid of my backyard walls and blew out most of the color but still left a little bit, kinda like they did in Band of Brothers...

Let me know what you guys think…

Our young shepard boy from the Urals sits quietly, checking the landscape of Stalingrad, on the lookout for German snipers and officers...

He Is not alone, As Major Koenig does the same.....

Confident the area is clear Koenig makes a dash to get to a spot with a better vantage point.

Zaitsev notices this movement and tracks his target....

In mid run Koenig stops, an ominous feeling comes over him. He glances towards the Maxim machine gun he had checked earlier...

And he sees the glint of a scope...

Koenig quickly raises his rifle to shoot...

His reflexes aren’t good enough and the young Zaitsev gets a shot off...

He watches Koenig’s body fly back....

And his rifle falls out of his lifeless hand.

Poor Koenig. Nailed again. When will he learn to stay in his hide? Hmmm..nah, that didn't work either (if you believe the tale). Nice pictorial, Pvt Ryan. That book definitely set your tail on fire.

Great work Ryan! The pictures turned out very well! Could feel the tension as the photo story developed.

Aww c'mon! Let the nice little nazi-boy beat the godless commie once in a while! Sheesh! Bummer.

Good photo-story though--I just get tired of seeing predictable endings, and the only thing I hate more than nazis is commies. And rats--I really hate rats. And yogart. Can't stand the stuff--it's like The Blob--the re-make with Godfrey Cambridge. Hate the Blob! And commies.

    Thanks for the comments all

Graemon: If i get up early again, ill go out and re shoot it, and at the end ill have my Dan Summers come in and pistol whip the both of them and erect an American flag... hows that?

PD: From the novel, the duel isnt a really big deal. It takes up maybe 1 chapter, the way its describe in vasilli's book it actually seems more probable.

good job! the open sky gives the pics lots of depth, and the whole scene has a kind of spooky, desolate aura.

Rofl. I demand to see this, but with medic wade from SPR instead of reagan Or Jackson, he was a cool sniper too. ^^

Oh yeah, cool pic in Duel4A.jpg, looks a lot like your avatar

What was that? Dan's gonna pistolwhip an erection and tie an American flag to it?

What the heck you talkin' about, Ryan? We're here to kill Commies and Bolsheviks, in that order. Now, let's get busy, Old Son, and Kill a Commie for Mommie!

Very effective imagery. The fourth pic down is damned scary. As close to 1/1 as it gets. Well done.
