Angry Sixth warrior forum website - VERY VERY SLOW!!!

I have noticed that One Sixth Warrior forum website has been VERY VERY SLOW!

Can any moderators care to explain why it is so slow, compared to other forum which I have no problem on browsing it even I have 2 MB Broadband.

    Thanks

    Niall

Could be any number of things niall33.

Might be a node somewhere between where you are and where OSW servers are might be having a little bit of a problem.

Also could be that certain processes are running in the background when you access the board. In the middle of the night here (mid morning there in the UK), the database gets backed up, stats get downloaded, software gets upgraded, banner cache gets refreshed, and many other cron jobs. Just a general tightening of the bolts.

Also, it could be an outage of some sort on the server making it slow.

Might be an intermittent thing, might be a thing where you just have to hold on for a few minutes. It's not a permanent thing usually, and most of the time things are back up to full speed after a short while.

    Hope that helps!

Only problem I've had is sometimes the page opens reeeeaally slowly.
But it rarely happens. I usually just quit out of my Browser and Open it again.

If any site you're visiting is running fine for others and really slow for you, then it's most likely something in between you and the OSW server, in which case there's nothing I can do but sympathize.

Site's working fine from my AO on the left coast, even from my wireless DSL.

Mike, the nanobots are in place in the bloostream. Having probs establishing uplink. He must have ECM in place. Time to ping the cells in Banff.

    Try going to Start/Run...

Now type in CMD and hit enter. It should bring up a dos box with a C: prompt. now type in TRACERT www.onesixthwarriors.com . This should run a trace route from your computer to the OSW server and show you any slow hops from your computer to OSW.

Also sometimes the internet in specific areas slows down from to much traffic. You can check out the internet traffic report (no seriously ) right here. -------->http://www.internettrafficreport.com/main.htm

    Hope this helps out.
