Sideshow 006/Sean Bean... What do we think?

....Close enough? If your a fan like me of Seans
work we've been patiently waiting for this one
for awhile. Im hoping the likeness will be a little better then what Im seeing. The resemblence is
is there but cant say they've nailed it. I WILL be getting the max allowed by Sideshow (2) just because the preorder extra is so beguiling.
An extra head thats not scared. I believe that Sideshow(wisely) did just that for bashing
purposes. Ive been jonesing for a Sharpes Rifle
figure for ever. That boy had a stylin' uniform.
Borimir has to be done as well. For good or ill
he was a member of the fellowship but DID and
    Toybiz have negelected his character.
Thanks to the directors cuts of LOTR and TT he's
a more 3 dimensional character and worthy of
    Onesixthdom.
Anyone remember Sean Miller from Patriot Games?
I believe whats being shown is a prototype only
and Sideshow tries to hedge its bets and guage public opinion with the preorders and then
    adjusts accordingly.(Very smart)
They also seem to respond to negative feedback in the official-non official forum. Which is why I hear Evil Willow and Faith have been pulled for retuning.( Yeah Ill post this whine in that forum as well)
Since the Sideshow figure is the only game in
    town what can you do?

Thanks to Foolkiller for attached pict

Close but no bullseye. At least, not as close as the "Scully", for example.

I don't think that the problem is that sculpts like this one or Mulder are "bad". I think it's just that the sculptors have so totally nailed some sculpts (Spike and Scully as recent examples) that a sculpt like 006, Faith, Mulder that's 90% of the way there just doesn't cut it, i.e. we've been spoiled by the really good ones!

I loved the Boromir character. He was flawed and human. he was seduced by the power of the ring, but went down swinging.

    Just too cool.

IMO it's a pretty poor likeness.

I'd love to see a decent Sharp bash, but it would need a better h/s than this.
