He looks great. Is that one of those screaming faces, by that one company, you have on your website? In a Sideshow Brit Uni?
Nice looking cloth pouches. In Fact all the cloth gear and Uni look excellent. I like those brass parts on the web gear too.
Oh and those short cloth leggins with leatherstraps, wow.
    Nice job as usual, Ran

Great stuff, Ran, a real character. It brought out Crack Troop, like a bonus, eh?

Thumbs up Wow, upper atmosphere quality work, Ran!

Looks like a Zodiac head. I luvv the homemade pouches! How much rework did you do to the 21C Denison smock? The green buttons are cool but it's the collar work that is most striking!

EDIT: Woops, looks like I just found where you did all this at http://www.ransomechua.com/Pages/arnhempara.html

I bet he'd look awesome, too, with a parachute assembly on - what the fig would look like before the jump.

PS: I'm glad you're postiing your bashes here on OSW now, RansomeI and I'm sure others would luvv to see your customized Legionnaire and Viet CIDG posted, too. The single pix of these two on the left-side strip of www.ransomechua.com keeps me drooling.

    Thanks guys,

Yeah, Ron, Govy... its a Zodiac Works head, I think he's called Charlie. Repainted a bit, come to think of it, I should have weathered and distressed his teeth ... they look like caps!

I happened upon a photo of a large group of Glider-borne paras posing for a souvenir pix before boarding their Horsas, and some had their berets worn in that very nonchalance way. Nice change.

It was easy to revitalise the figure as the body's a BBI, and removing and plugging in that new head's a breeze, CrackTroop. I can sometimes be so anal-retentively lazy, you know. LOL

Romedome, the 21C Denison smock was the closest in color to actual 1/1 versions I had seen in my initial research, so reworking it wasn't that tough. I just had to rework the collar bit. The green buttons I based on actual ones I had referenced. I was actually considering doing a customized Denison smock, first version with the camo hand painted but for some reason got drawn to do some fotostories!

I'll certainly be posting my customized figures here if you guys would like to see them, now that I know how easy it is to attach pixs here. Let me get my act together.

    Thumbs up Thanks, Ransome

Can't wait for larger, different photos of the above two mentioned figs of yours

Here's a comparison of the 21C, BBi, and OpsGear Denison fabric, below left. I'm sure they have but can't remember what DML's looks like (I never purchased an example of theirs).

EDIT: I found pix of the two DML versions (Ian, above middle which looks like it just got freshly painted, & Rob Roy, above right looking weather beaten). The Cyber-Hobby exclusive (Polish/Michael Caine) version looks more like the BBi jacket.

    Thanks guys,

hey Romedome, thanks for bringing me up to date with the various versions of Dennison now available on the market. I didn't realise that 21C had matching pants ... and that OpsGear fabric ... Where have I been? LOL

I have the DML Ian's Dennison but not Rob Roy nor Cyber-Hobby's para exclusive. I think if BBI's smock was really weathered down, it will look fine too for Arnhem, though not for D-Day on account of the elasticated cuffs.
