Benelli M3 Super 90 shorty part question

Hey,
I've got question about a part on the Benelli M3 Super 90 Shorty shotgun. What's the correct term for the moving part that covers the hole in the bottom of the receiver (I assume where the shell ejects? Or an ammo feeding port?)?? Sorry for my poor description and lack of shotgun knowledge! You can see a photo of what I'm talking about here:

It's the part that is hanging down in the right-facing shot of the M3.

That's not supposed to be hanging down. Its the detailed part of the loadng port. Its not glued in properly.

Pete, the proper term for the part you're talking about is "shell lifter". This piece lifts up when you hand-feed a shell into the magazine tube through the opening in the bottom of most shotguns. On my Benelli M2 Tactical, when the action cycles, the "shell lifter" lifts a new shell up towards the bolt so it can feed a new shell into the chamber. It is not supposed to hang down. In reality, it pivots on the end closest to the trigger. Hope this helps.
