Kickass sci fi hawkmms! I don't think I've seen anyone take on that character and he was always my favorite.

Love the version of stalker. It's like an updated version of the first and best stalker in my humble opinion.

Here are my Snake-Eyes and recently-completed Dusty customs. I'm still not satisfied with SE's belts, but I think I finally got his wrist rocket to come out OK. Dusty was an easy figure to put together, but I really like how he turned out.

No idea ScareCrow, but I figured I would chime in and note that those are some great looking bashes that stay true to the classic figures.

Great stuff Scarecrow. Gotta love Dusty, one of my fav Joes.

Regarding the pix, you can always paste the pix directly in the post with [img]your pix[/img] code wraps around them.

This link will give you some insight. Good luck.

Re: Show us your GI JOE RAH bashes

I found this on my shelf the other day. I did this probably 9 or 10 years ago. Its the HOF Flint head on a 21st Sam body with assorted parts. I think my bashes have come a long way.

He's going back on the shelf. I am not going to change a thing. I have to remember where I have been to see where I am going.
I came, I saw, I went home happy.

Re: Show us your GI JOE RAH bashes

Man, there are some awesome figures in this thread! You guys could show Sideshow and some of the other companies how to do ARAH the right way. I love everything on here, and I've definitely gotten some ideas for future projects . Keep 'em comin'!!!

Anyway, here are a couple of shots of my Storm Shadow figure I'm working on. He's still a work-in-progress, but hopefully I'll be able to finish him soon. I still need to redo the Cobra insignia, add a couple of sword scabbards and another arrow to the backpack, and figure out how best to wrap the lower legs. I had thought about trying to paint the black portion of his sleeves white, but I'm not sure how well the paint would cover. As he is now, I don't think the black looks bad, and I kinda like the contrast it adds to him.

@Scarecrow- StormShadow looking good! Where did you get the bow & arrrows and the carrier? I need to find something for mine, still working out how to do that.

Dave....MAN!! Talking about classic way of bashing Flint. Yeah keep him as it, it's a good benchmark to show how far you have come along.

Scarecrow.....Solid work with Tommy Arashikage. I love the setup.

Re: Show us your GI JOE RAH bashes

Thanks for the compliments, guys . Storm Shadow was always my second favorite figure (behind Snake-Eyes, of course) and I had been wanting to make a 1/6 version since I got into the hobby. I had originally ordered a custom gi for him, but I ruined it trying to shorten the sleeves. I ended up using the bodysuit (slightly customised to make it look more like a gi) from the Ninja Showdown SE vs SS set, with a t-shirt underneath, and white baggy pants on over it.

da Bronx Commando: I made the bow, the arrows are from the DML Subadai the Mongol figure, and the backpack is a TicTac container painted black. I cut slots in the sides for the swords to go through, and I drilled small holes in the top to hold the arrows. The arrows were way too long when I got them, so I ended up cutting about an inch off of each one. If you happen to still be looking for a bow, I'm making them for sale or trade; shoot me an e-mail if you want one. I hope to see your Storm Shadow on here soon .

Hmmm good question. Based on a quick glance, probably you need to get a FN-FAL as base and do significant mod on it.

Re: Show us your GI JOE RAH bashes

tizonytnt...hmm well if it says SMG, which looks big a-- as a SMG in the pix; then just cannibalize bits & pieces from other rifles, SMG etc to get the look of it. Since most of the weapons in Joe universe are fictional at some level, there isn't any rule really that prohibits us from using, say a section of a rifle as a stand-in parts fro a SMG. The key here is improvisation, which where all the fun of customization lies. Good luck man, looking forward to see your take on Outback.

Patey...... damn solid CC close protection detail. Keep the Joes coming, and best of luck with your job hunting man.

To me, it resembles a stockless Israeli Galil assault rifle. Compare the front end of the gun that came with the original figure (see link below) to pics of real Galils, and you can see a resemblance. A lot of Joe weapons are made up of combinations of several real weapons, but if I was making Outback, I would use the micro Galil from 21stCentury's SWAT Pointman with the stock removed.

    My first try at...Firefly.

Essentially a stock 2008-issue Storm Shadow whose head I repainted. Originally meant to put the headsculpt on a DML Adam body, but for some reason I've run out of DML figs to work with...(sheepishly looks at unfinished Kamen Rider figure customs). The 21C Urban Camo BDUs which I prize so highly are perfect for him. Sadly, I am lacking in the proper backpack and gear, so I tried to make do with what I had on hand--a DML AK-47, backpack from DML Linh, and some odds and ends from different figures.
