F-15 Cockpit - 1:6 Elite Force

Guys,
I just got the Elite Force 1:6 F-15 cockpit. It is absolutly beautiful, but I am having a problem with the panel lights comming on. I know the batteries are fresh, and according to the instructions all I need to do to turn them on is move the control stick back, but nothing works.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there an on/off switch that I do not know about. I am hoping there is nothing wrong with the wiring, but it has been sitting in a warehouse for several years.

Any ideas would be helpful.

usually for product that comes with batteries included, there usually have a piece of plastic that hold off the contact points between the batteries, to prevent battery drain off...look out for that plasitc piece and pull it out...it should be there...

Either that or the batterys are drained from sitting for so long. I believe that BBi has discontinued that item( I could be wrong) so those batterys have had a very long stand-by. Try new ones

I recalled seeing one in Echo Base Toys. But, I could be wrong, as usual.

To turn the instrument lights on you'll have to pull the yellow and black striped handle located on the lower right side of the forward instrument panel.

That product has been discontinued now for more than 20 years...I think... I am surprised that the batteries did not explode...
