    Sick Call

After reading Socrates187's thread, it occurred to me that maybe we could use a thread to keep track of members dealing with everything from head colds to face transplants. Sound off if you get a chance, or have any news of anyone else here.

I agree 100%, specially when the member has an existing trade / sales with other members.

    Great idea, PDog!

I'm recovering from a traumatic wisdom tooth operation (had all four removed) where one of the teeth extractions led to my gums ripping well into my pallet so I will be out of action for a while.

    Re: Sick Call

i have had Parkinson's for 11 years and am in stage four. Parkinson's disease strikes people in many different ways. I have had a continuous string of ever changing symptoms as the disease has evolved inside my body.

i have faced the disease positively, doing my best to continue living as much as possible, while doing what is necessary to survive day to day with my disease, but always having a heart that wants to honor God, and delight in life and beauty and goodness. The disease has weakened me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have found my family and the churches i go to to be extremely supportive in Parkinson's, and have found the doctors and nurses and mental health people and pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to be very compassionate.

I will continue to follow therapy that helps me have a better standard of life. When I am immobile and totally impaired i will be at home recuperating and you won't see me, but i am getting ready for the next round. Whenever my condition allows me i will be out talking with people, enjoying life, and making the most i know of the time i have, as best as i know how, all the while trying to learn more about being a better person.

    thank you!

I read this and I don't know how to respond. RainbowAvenue has been here way before I started on OSW.
I empathize with you and hope you will have a miracle of some kind. Good luck.

I can't. It's coming out both ends every half hour. Anything I drink won't stay down :/ It's been like this for four hours now, no end in sight.

Get electrolytes in your system! Also, PD is right, get to the ER or Critical Care...whatever you can ASAP.

    Re: Sick Call

Morning's here and it looks like it's passed O.o. I haven't been making bathroom trips since 6:00.
Very bizarre, but I'm holding down water again.
Also: ER's a big worry only if I start: A) having black spots in my stool, B) blood in my stool or vomit, or C) start feeling light-headed. Either of those is a HUGE cause for concern, otherwise gotta wait it out.
