I create custom action figures. I just finished the four Beatles/Abbey Road, 1/6 scale.
I am currently stuck on how to attach the figures to the base. I want them to be detachable so the person who buys it can display them differently if desired.
My original plan was to use magnets; got some really tiny and strong ones, but when I tried it the lateral forces of gravity overpowered them.
I also tried drilling a hole up thru the foot with the idea of securing a piece of 1/16" diameter metal tubing- still too wobbly. I think that drilling all the way up thru the leg would damage the ankles too much, so don't want to try that.
The base is 2/16" thick, altho I could glue it on some plywood if that would make attachments to it more secure.
I know there are some very smart and experienced creators here so...
Any ideas?
